WAYNE HALL MELLENDORF
89, of Cass City died peacefully Thursday, June 9, 2022 in Northwood Meadows
Medical Care Unit, Cass City. He was born May 3, 1933 in Owendale to Stanley and Erma (Hartwick)
Mellendorf. He married Helen Nora Churchill on May 31, 1952. She died May 3, 2016.

Wayne graduated from Owendale High School in 1951 and joined the United States Navy. During his
twenty years of military service, he served aboard the U.S.S. Valley Forge and the U.S.S. Oriskany before

Gagetown Oil and Gas and Lee Wood Incorporated in Bay City. Wayne was mechanically gifted and could fix anything and everything. He especially enjoyed being a mechanic.
