GUY ALLEN NANNEY,
54, of Port Austin, formerly of Cass City, died unexpectedly Sunday, July 23, 2017 in Scheuer Hospital, Pigeon. He was born September 13, 1962 in Dearborn to Eugene “Gene” and Carol June (Murry) Nanney.
He married Kathy Lynn (Young) Harrison June 24, 1985 in Caseville.
Guy graduated from Cass City High School and went on to become a construction worker, running his own business, “The Building Guy”. He loved the outdoors and was passionate about flying RC planes, deer hunting and snowmobiling with his family and friends. Guy cared deeply for those around him and was beloved by all who knew him.
Guy is survived by his wife, Kathy; his children: Guy Nanney of Grand Rapids; Nicholas (Stephanie) Nanney of Kalamazoo; Quincy (Sherstin) Harrison of Franklin; Ashley (Stuart) Wooters of Franklin; sisters: Lois (Stephen) Papp of Cass City, Terry (Blaise) Posluszny of Bay City; brother-in-law, Joseph Vanderhoof of Florida; sister-in-law, Sharon Nanney of Grayling; seven grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Ron Nanney, Gary Nanney; sister, Renie Vanderhoof.

Join them at the Huron County Nature Center and Arboretum at 3336 Loosemore Road in Port Austin, Michigan on Saturday July 29, from 1-4 in the afternoon. Light refreshments will be served and a short tribute to Guy will be held at 2:30 pm. The location is rustic and dress is casual.
