CARL RAFAEL ORTIZ
Carl Rafael Ortiz, 58, of Cass City, died unexpectedly Wednesday, November 9, 2016 in his home. He was born October 18, 1958 in Long Island, New York to Carlo and Teresa (Purtell) Ortiz.
Carl served in the United States Navy. He worked for Otis Elevators in New York where he performed maintenance and installed elevators. Carl loved listening to "oldies" rock and roll music. He enjoyed reading science fiction books.
Carl is survived by his mother, Teresa Arenholz of Ft. Myers, FL; sisters, Teri Ann Sieradzki of Ft. Myers , Louise Ortiz-Nahum of Ft. Myers, FL; brother, Richard (Tammy) Ortiz of Ludowici, GA; also several nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Carlo Ortiz and brother in law, Ronald Sieradzki.
Memorial service held 3:00 p.m. Saturday, November 12, 2016 in Kranz Funeral Home, Cass City with Mike Byron officiating. Memorials may be made to Family Discretionary Fund. Family and friends may share memories, prayers and stories with the family at www.kranzfuneralhome.com.
