KAREN SUE McINTOSH

Karen S. (Osentoski) McIntosh, 69, of Goodrich, died following a lengthy battle with cancer, Sunday, July 18, 2021 in her home. She was born November 28, 1951 in Clare to Richard and Clara Mae (Horr) Gaffney. She married James McIntosh on August 17, 2013 in their home.

Karen graduated from Cass City High School in 1969. She earned a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Michigan. She worked for General Motors, Walbro, the Chrysler Quality Control Department, and later retired from Meggitt in Saginaw. Karen was a master quilter and also had a passion for cooking. Her other favorites hobbies included reading and traveling. Together, Karen and Jim enjoyed RV camping in Florida. Above all else, she loved her family the most.

Karen is survived by her husband, Jim; her children: Tavis (Carrie) Osentoski of Cass City, Rory Osentoski of Caro, Blair Osentoski of Cass City, Summer Osentoski of Detroit; stepson, Jason (Casey) McIntosh of Waterford; father, Richard Gaffney; grandchildren: Elijah Paine Osentoski, Collen Wrubel, Haven Osentoski, Hope McIntosh; great-grandchildren: Fayt Lyra, Ezra, Alessandra; brother, Kevin (Peggy) Gaffney of Gulfport, MS; her faithful labradoodle, Bear. She is preceded in death by her mother.

Funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 22, 2021 in Kranz Funeral Home, Cass City with Brad Speirs of Novesta Church of Christ officiating. Pallbearers for Karen are Tavis Osentoski, Rory Osentoski, Blair Osentoski, Summer Osentoski, Collen Wrubel, Elijah Paine Osentoski and Jason McIntosh.
