Wanda Parrott

October 14, 1940 — January 25, 2017

WANDA LEE PARROTT,
76, of Cass City, died following a long illness, Wednesday, January 25, 2017 in her home with her family by her side. She was born October 14, 1940 in Pleasant Home Hospital in Cass City the 6th of seven children born to Lloyd and Irene (McNaughton) Bader. She married Ronald Sherwood Parrott June 1, 1963 in Cass City.

Wanda graduated from Cass City High School. She worked at Old Wood Drug store after graduation. Wanda later worked for the Royal Oak School District at Mary Lyons, Churchill and Kimball schools retiring in 2000 as food service manager after over 20 years of service. During her work she completed many classes in food service course study. Wanda enjoyed ceramics, bowling and roller skating. She enjoyed spending time at their recreational home in Mio, where they lived for the last eight years. Wanda spent a great deal of time riding snowmobiles and motorcycles in an effort to spend time with her family doing what they loved. She enjoyed talking on the phone and cleaning her home to immaculate perfection. Wanda had a knack for entertaining, and all were always welcome. Cooking and baking delicious food, decorating and serving family and friends brought her great joy. She had an unwavering faith in God. She was forever the encourager and willingly shared her great sense of humor. With a true servant's heart, Wanda faithfully cared for family and friends.

Wanda is survived by her husband, Ronald; children: Tamara Sonnenberg of Caro, Ronald (Mindy) Parrott, Jr. of Grand Blanc; grandchildren: Jeremy Sonnenberg, Micaela Sonnenberg, Raelyn Sonnenberg, Briana Parrott, Bradyn Parrott; sisters: Marjorie Caister of Cass City, Helen Hubbard of Kingston, Donna (Gerald) Auten of Cass City, Audrey Halas of Royal Oak; sister-in-law, Sandra Bader of Cass City; many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her son-in-law, John Sonnenberg; brothers: Robert (Shirley) Bader, Dale Bader; brothers-in-law: Gene Chapin, Newell Hubbard, Arthur Caister.

Funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 28, 2017 in Kranz Funeral Home, Cass City with Brad Speirs of Novesta Church of Christ officiating. Interment will take place in Novesta Township Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be made to Revive Ministries or Compassus Hospice. Saturday, January 28, 2017 from 10 to 11 a.m.
