Sidney Douglas "Sid" Parsell

SIDNEY DOUGLAS PARSELL
65, of Cass City died Tuesday October 13, 2020 in Hills and Dales General Hospital of Cass City. He was born April 18, 1955 in Cass City to Norman and Mary (Faszcza) Parsell. He married Elizabeth K. Anthes-Dickinson August 20, 2016 in Cass City.

Sid graduated from Akron Fairgrove High School. He worked as a farmer his entire life on his parent’s farm. Sid was skilled at fixing cars and enjoyed time spent tinkering with them. He loved a good round of golf, traveling and was a loyal Detroit Lions fan. Sid attended Novesta Church of Christ, Cass City. He will be fondly remembered for loving life; always joking, never too serious and always having fun.

Sid is survived by his wife, Beth; daughters: Shawna (Brian) Walts of Caro; Kristin Parsell of Caro; eight grandchildren: Alexis, Bryce and Colton Laskowski, Devin, Shilynn, Dawson, Adalynn and RayLynn Parsell; siblings: Gene (Pearl) Parsell of Pigeon; John (Caroline) Parsell of Fayetteville, GA; Timothy Parsell of Caro; Debra Parsell (Ron Watson) of Westminster, CO; Mark (Denise) Parsell of Coldwater; three step-sons and spouses; four step grandsons. He was preceded in death by parents; sister, Susan Miller.

Funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 19, 2020 in Novesta Church of Christ, Cass City with Brad Speirs officiating. Interment in Elkland Township Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Novesta Church of Christ, Bayshore Camp, or American Cancer Society. Friends may share memories, prayers and photos with the family at www.kranzfuneralhome.com.
