PATRICK ARTHUR THORNTON

     Patrick A. Thornton, 73, of Cass City, died Monday, October 12, 2026 in his home. He was born August 4, 1953 in Pontiac, one of six children born to Russell Alger and Mary Antoinette (Brown) Thornton, Jr.

     Patrick graduated from Pontiac High School. He worked for General Motors Orion Plant, on the assembly line, until the late 1980’s. Patrick moved to the Cass City area to raise his family. He enjoyed deer hunting, riding his Harley Davidson Sportster, and working on many project cars. Patrick was fond of watching Star Trek on television, and grilling outdoors during the warmer months. He was a great conversationalist and would to talk to anyone.

     Patrick is survived by his children: Ryan Thornton, Shawn Thornton, Heather Thornton; his sister, Deborah (Al) Dandron. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters: Judy Smith, Linda Thornton, Bonnie Keding, John Thornton.

     Interment will be in Kingston Cemetery. A celebration of Patrick’s life will be held at a later date.
