PHYLLIS ANN LITTLE

Phyllis Ann Little, age 86, died Wednesday, July 29, 2026 in Covenant Healthcare, Saginaw. She was born November 5, 1939, in Pigeon, to Alfred and Irene (Mallard) Schmidt. On August 6, 1960, she married the love of her life, Jerry Little. They would have been married for sixty-six years next week.

Phyllis attended St. Mary's Hospital School of Nursing and graduated as a Registered Nurse in July 1960. She dedicated thirty-five years to Hills and Dales General Hospital, where she served with compassion and professionalism, ultimately retiring as Operating Room Supervisor.

A faithful member of Our Lady Consolata Parish, Cass City for more than sixty years, Phyllis was deeply devoted to her faith and community. She enjoyed bowling at Cass City Lanes for over thirty years and especially cherished the many couples’ tournaments she competed in alongside her husband, Jerry. Together they enjoyed much success and created many treasured memories. Phyllis was an unwavering Detroit Pistons fan, supporting the team through both the good years and the not-so-good ones. Above all else, she loved her family fiercely. Phyllis’s greatest joy came from spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren all of whom were blessed by her endless love, strength, and devotion. Her legacy of compassion, dedication, faith, and love will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.

Phyllis is survived by her devoted husband, Jerry; children: Carol (Dave) Sayers of Caledonia, Karen Speirs of Cass PCity, Gail (Martin) Louks of Cass City, Jeff (Amy) Little of Caledonia. She was a proud grandmother to Brad (Kristy) Speirs, Jason (Katie) Speirs, Lindsey (Chris) Skiles, Justin Louks, Erin (Dan) Kelleher, Erica Louks, Lynn (Brad) Slis, Parker Little, Zac Little. She was also blessed with great-grandchildren: Emily and Ethan Speirs; John and Anna Skiles; Jackson and Thea David; Bentley, Blakely, and Brenley Kelleher; Kinsley and Addison Slis and two more are on the way as well; siblings: Charles (Gail) Schmidt, Doreen Korf; many beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her parents-in-law, John and Viola Little; brother-in-law, Bob Korf; siblings-in-law: Donald and Deliah Little, Freda and Dale Parrish, Nancy and Maynard Helwig; son-in-law, Dave Speirs; grandson, Michael Speirs.

Funeral mass held Saturday, August 1, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady Consolata Parish, Cass City with Fr. Robert Pare officiating. Memorials may be made to Our Lady Consolata Parish.
