Phyllis Kay Tuckey

PHYLLIS KAY TUCKEY 

Phyllis K. Tuckey, 81, of Cass City died Saturday, October 12, 2024 in Heritage Hill Assisted Living, Caro. She was born November 4, 1942 in Kalamazoo to Austin Lyle and Beatrice Gwenna (Hinga) Lancaster. She married Harland Tuckey on November 4, 1961 in Otsego. 

Phyllis met Harland while on a cruise during her senior trip in high school. They enjoyed camping and managed Brower’s Campground in Stanwood for several years. Together, Phyllis and Harland visited every state, except for seven, on motorcycle rides. This year they were crowned king and queen of Heritage Hill’s Annual Fall Festival. Phyllis’s hobbies included fishing, sewing, and making quilts. She was also very fond of her cat, Dudley.

Phyllis is survived by her husband of almost sixty-three years, Harland; children: Kelly (Rod Doss) Howell, Rick Tuckey; granddaughter, Lindsey (Chris) Cahill; great grand-daughters: Audrey, Amelia; nephews: Randy Selby, Lyle Selby; niece, Cindy Campbell; many special cousins and friends; and Dudley. She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Joyce (Claude) Selby. 

Memorial service held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 23, 2024 in Kranz Funeral Home with Brad Speirs of Novesta Church of Christ officiating. Interment will be in Ellington Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Heritage Hill Assisted Living or Americans Hospice.
