LARRY JAMES PUTERBAUGH
Larry J. Puterbaugh, 66, of Snover died unexpectedly Tuesday, November 10, 2015 in Hills and Dales General Hospital, Cass City. He was born October 21, 1949 in Cass City to Ryerson and Dorothy (Pallas) Puterbaugh.
Larry graduated from Cass City High School in 1967. He attended Michigan State University graduating with a degree in Agriculture. Larry worked on the family farm all his life. He enjoyed tractor pulling and recently served as the co-secretary at area tractor pulls. Larry enjoyed traveling including trips to Australia, Hawaii and Mexico when the children were young. He has visited nearly every state in the United States some as part of his driving local Amish families. Larry enjoyed deer hunting, attending auctions and playing cards, especially Euchre. He earned many Euchre trophies. Larry worked for Great Lakes Seed and was a substitute bus driver for Cass City Community Schools. He served as Evergreen Township Supervisor and went to real estate school.
Larry is survived by his children: Kurt (Cari) Puterbaugh of Snover, Renee (Jeremy) Bolsby of Snover, Ashley (Antoin) Akl of Snover; grandchildren: Cole, Nathan and Caden; sister, June (Jerry) Samons of Snover; many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his son, Brian Puterbaugh; sister, Lana Puterbaugh; half-brothers: Chester (Mildred) Puterbaugh, Bruce Puterbaugh, Harold Peters.
Funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 14, 2015 in Kranz Funeral Home, Cass City with Elder Judy Doerr of Community of Christ Church officiating. Interment will take place in Evergreen Township Cemetery. Pallbearers for Mr. Puterbaugh: Tim Peuterbaugh, Jason Samons, Andy Cherniawski, Ryan Ross, Jerold Bechtel, D.J. Muska, Brian Doran, and John Fowler. Memorials may be made to Family Discretionary Fund. Family and friends may share memories, prayers and stories with the family at www.kranzfuneralhome.com.
