DOROTHY ANNETTE PUTNAM,
78, of Caro, died following a long illness Sunday, August 17, 2014 in her home with her family by her side. She was born February 27, 1936 in Cass City to Wellington and Effie (Greenleaf) LaPeer.
Dorothy worked at the Caro Regional Hospital for many years, working in the housekeeping and laundry department. She enjoyed camping, making quilts, and spending time with her family.
Dorothy is survived by Robert Putnam and their children: Linda (Dan) Mills of Caro, Sam Putnam of Caro, Robin (Cornelius) Murphy of Dover, DE; grandchildren: Carrie (Dale) Tabar of Cass City, Jennifer (Trent) Kelly of Davison, Sarah Putnam of Decker, Megan (Nate) Belonga of Dimondale, Renea (Tom) Clearhout of Gagetown, Jasmine, Jade and Jeremy Murphy of Dover, DE; great grandchildren: Mariah, Alex, Gracie, Ian, Ali, and Colton; siblings: Dianne (Walter) Hempton of Cass City, Patti (Gary) Guilds of Cass City, and Al (Connie) LaPeer of Cass City. She is preceded in death by her infant son, Daniel Robert; parents, Wellington and Effie LaPeer; brothers: Richard LaPeer, Fred LaPeer, Walter LaPeer and Jack LaPeer.
Memorial service will be held at her graveside in Ellington Township Cemetery, Caro at a later date. Interment will be in Ellington Township Cemetery.
