Paul Lawrence Repshinska

PAUL LAWRENCE REPSHINSKA,

86, of Gagetown died following a lengthy illness Friday, August 2, 2019 in Tuscola County Medical Care Facility, Caro. He was born May 24, 1933 in Gagetown to Anthony Lawrence and Marie (Weiler) Repshinska. He married JoAnn Jane Miller January 12, 1957 in Pigeon.

Paul served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. After returning home, he went back to work for AC Spark Plug of Flint until his retirement. Paul was the grounds caretaker for St. Agatha Catholic Church and Cemetery in Gagetown for many years. He enjoyed his carpentry workshop and was skilled at building decks, cabinetry and home repairs. Paul was fond of listening to old style country music such as Hank Williams, Johnny Cash and Mollie B’s Polka Party. His favorite hobbies included mowing grass and plowing snow for his neighborhood with his John Deere tractor.

Paul is survived by his wife, JoAnn; daughters: Connie St. John of Linwood; Cathy (James) LeValley of Unionville; Peggy (Keith) Frappart of Pigeon; Penny (Eric) Downing of Bay City; eight grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his brothers: Edward Repshinska, Vincent Repshinska, William Repshinska; sister, Marie Christie and two infant siblings.

Funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 7, 2019 in Kranz Funeral Home, Cass City with Brad Speirs of Novesta Church of Christ, Cass City officiating. Interment will be in St. Agatha Cemetery, Gagetown. Military honors conducted by Cass City VFW Post #3644 and the U.S. Army. Memorials may be made to St. Agatha Food Pantry.
