William R. Repshinska, 92, of Cass City died Friday, May 29, 2015 in Northwood Meadows Medical Care Unit, Cass City. He was born January 19, 1923 in Gagetown the first of seven children born to Anthony Lawrence and Marie (Weiler) Repshinska. He married Marjory Fuester November 9, 1946 in Gagetown. She died June 11, 1983. After her death he married Beverly J. Henderson in 1984 in Waterford. She died November 25, 2004.
Bill served in the U.S. Army during World War II. After returning, he farmed in Tyre and then entered the lumber business with Croft Clara Lumber until his retirement. Bill built and remodeled homes in his free time. He enjoyed spending winters in Bradenton, Florida. His hobbies included golfing and boating. He enjoyed music and entertaining family and friends with his dancing and singing. He spent many years in Fayetteville, Georgia returning to Cass City in 2005 to be closer to his family.
Bill is survived by his daughters: Diane Repshinska of Cass City, LuAnn (Alan) Graham of Cass City; granddaughter, Stephanie (Michael) Anderson of Bad Axe; great granddaughter, Erin McCallum of Bad Axe; sister, Marie Christie of Farmington Hills; brother, Paul (JoAnn) Repshinska of Gagetown; three step-children; many step-grandchildren, step-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his brothers: Edward Repshinska, Vincent Repshinska and two infant siblings.
Funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 1, 2015 in Kranz Funeral Home, Cass City with Brad Speirs of Novesta Church of Christ officiating. Interment will be in Elkland Township Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Northwood Meadows Medical Care Unit or Bluewater Youth for Christ Cornerstone.
