SUSAN JEAN SAGASH
72, of Deford, died following a brief illness Thursday, November 4, 2021 in her home. Susan was born May 1, 1949 in Marlette to James and Jean (King) Luana. She married Michael Martin Sagash III on January 15, 2016 in Caro.
Susan graduated from Cass City High School. She attended cosmetology school and later owned a beauty shop in her home. Susan also became a truck driver, traveled the states, and enjoyed the sights, such as the Hoover Dam and the Grand Canyon. She started a business delivering fitness equipment for Cybex International Fitness Company. Later in life, Susan decided to become a certified nursing assistant to share her love and compassion for caring for people. She was employed by Medilodge of Cass City for fourteen years before retiring. Susan was known to be a fantastic cook. Her favorite activity was camping with Michael.
Susan is survived by her husband, Michael; mother, Jean Klinkman of Deford; step-father, Ken Klinkman of Deford; children: RJ Wentworth (Mary Crosby) of FL, Suzette (Gordon) Wright of Deford, Tara (Jeff) Mallory of Kingston, Jimmy (Sarah) Spencer of FL; step-children: Michael (Kendra) Sagash IV of Port Huron, Matthew Sagash of Muskegon, Justin (Jessie) Sagash of Gagetown, Elizabeth Sagash of Mayville; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings: James Luana of Reese, John (Janie) Luana of Deford, David (Penny) Luana of FL, Judy Martin (Dale Milles) of Cass City. She was preceded in death by her father, James Peter Luana.
Susan’s family have honored her wishes for cremation to take place. A celebration dinner will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 27, 2021 at the Kingston Fire Department. Family and friends may share memories, prayers, and photos with the family at www.kranzfuneralhome.com.
