SAM EDWARD BROWN JR.

Sam Edward Brown Jr., age 68 of Gagetown passed away in his home on August 22, 2026. He was an amazing father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend and his absence will be felt daily by those that loved him.

Sam was born April 15, 1958, in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He was the son of Patsy and Mike Joslyn; brother to Jan Zilo, Thomas Brown, and Stan Clayton. With his late wife Brenda Brown he had five children: Samantha Culhane (spouse Pete Rolston), Michelle Rogers (spouse Nathan Rogers), Kenneth Brown (spouse Sara Brown), Allyson Brown, and Jessica Brown; along with several grandchildren: Maddison Culhane, Lillian Culhane, Michael Gerhauser III, Kathrine Rolston, Amelia Rolston, Alexander Rogers, Gabriel Rogers, Julliann Hart, Shelby Medin, Julia Player, and his companion, Cindy Shively.

Sam was the best kind of person, he was a loving and caring father, a kind and loyal friend, and the person who would give the shirt off his back for a total stranger if they needed it. He talked to everyone and anyone and relished in embarrassing his kids by acting like a total goofball in stores.

His family welcomes everyone who knew Sam to his celebration of life Monday August 31, 2026, from 4:00 p.m.to 8:00 p.m. in Kranz Funeral Home, Cass City. We would love everyone to come together and share their favorite memories and stories. Funeral service at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 1, 2026 in Kranz Funeral Home, Cass City.
