Bryan Walter Schrader

August 8, 1978 — March 29, 2022

BRYAN WALTER SCHRADER
43, of Cass City died unexpectedly while working on Tuesday, March 29, 2022. Bryan was born August 8, 1978 in Harbor Beach to Larry and Janice (Armstead) Schrader. Bryan and Karissa were set up on a blind date in 1995 and have been together ever since that day. Bryan and Karissa were married on September 29, 2001 at Novesta Church of Christ, Cass City.

Bryan graduated from Ubly High School in 1996. He attended Saginaw Valley State University where he studied criminal justice. While attending college, he worked for his in-laws at Thumb Welding Supplies and continued working there until 2018. In 2018 he started working as a Service Technician for Cass City Oil and Gas. Bryan loved anything outdoors: hunting, fishing, camping, four wheeling, mud bogging, shooting his guns or just driving around in his truck. He enjoyed deer hunting with his dad, attending Nascar races and fishing out of Port Austin. He always looked forward to the annual camping trips with his family to Ludington and Sleeper State Park for Halloween weekend. Bryan was a Ford Truck enthusiast and was always working on his trucks to make them bigger and better. He loved his many dogs and his cats (even though he would never admit he was a cat guy). He always loved a good joke and loved sharing them with anyone he could.

He was a jokester himself, always messing with Karissa, his kids, his friends, and family. He was an amazing father, husband, son, brother, friend and he loved his family more than anything. Bryan’s love for Karissa was like no other, they were best friends and soulmates. He was so proud of his three beautiful children, Ethan, Blake and Ellie. He lit up watching Ethan perform in his plays. He loved shooting guns with Blake and taking him hunting and fishing. Bryan adored his daughter Ellie and they loved listening and singing to his rock music together.

Bryan is survived by his wife, Karissa; children: Ethan, Blake, Ellie Schrader; his parents, Larry and Janice Schrader of Ubly; sister, Janelle Pallas of Cass City; father and mother-in-law, John and Pat McIntosh of Cass City; sisters-in-law: Laurie (Michael) Torka of Auburn, Angie (Greg) Thane of Cass City, Katie (RJ) Klaus of Ubly; brother-in-law, Jeffery (Candice Sutphin) McIntosh of Cass City; nieces and nephews: Brynn and Bria Pallas; Nicole and Andrea Thane; Ryan and Breanna McIntosh; Mathew and Cody Torka; Noelle, Graham, Levi and Scarlett Klaus; Nora McIntosh. He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Jack and Virginia Armstead; Florence and Gerald Schrader; brother-in-law, Paul McIntosh.
