CLARE ALBERT SCHUETTE
78, of Cass City, died Tuesday, October 19, 2021 in Ascension St. Mary’s Hospital, Saginaw. He was born November 12, 1942 at home to Albert and Frances (Loeffler) Schuette. He married Donna Lee Gibbs on December 3, 1966 in Cross Lutheran Church, Pigeon.

Clare graduated from Laker High School in Pigeon with the Class of 1961. He spent his younger years as a dairy and cash crop farmer working the farm he was raised on. Later, Clare worked in retail and manufacturing and was named Employee of the Year in 1987 as a Shipping and Receiving Coordinator. Clare played in dartball and bowling leagues for many years. He was an avid fan of NASCAR and the Detroit Tigers and also enjoyed taking care of his large lawn. Clare was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church of Cass City for over forty years. He served as an usher, an elder, and as a member of the finance committee.

Clare is survived by his wife of fifty-four years, Donna; sons: Craig (Kimberly) Schuette of Midland, Randall (special friend, Kathy LaPonsie) Schuette of Cass City, David (Jamie) Schuette of Unionville, Anthony (Shawna) Schuette of Snover; grandchildren: Erin (John) Tuckey, Olivia Schuette, Rainey, Jeffersen and Axel Schuette, Kaylee and Wyatt Schuette, Isaiah and Christopher Schuette; great grandchildren: Jasper, Posie, and Forrest Tuckey; sisters: Eunice Richmond of Bay Port, Beatrice (Wilson) Marsh of WA, Alice Bennet of TX; sisters-in-law: Nancy Schuette of Pigeon, Vernita (Don) Loeffler of Sebewaing, Joyce Smith of Bay City; brother-in-law, Ron Gibbs of Caro; many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Elmer Schuette; sister, Gertrude Crump; brothers-in-law: Ben Crump, Gene Bennet, Fred Richmond, Bill Gibbs, Tom Gibbs. sister-in-law, Ginger Gibbs

Funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 30, 2021 in Good Shepherd Lutheran Church of Cass City with Rev. Cameron Steele of St. Paul Lutheran Church of Caro officiating. Interment will be in Elkland Township Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Family and friends may share memories, prayers, and photos at www.kranzfuneralhome.com.
