SCOTT MICHAEL COOK

Scott M. Cook, 59, of Deford, died peacefully Monday afternoon in his home. He was born April 9, 1966 in Cass City to Michael Cook and Elizabeth Eremia. He married Cynthia Hack on January 11, 2015 in Cass City.

Scott graduated from Laker High School in 1984. He began his lifelong trucking career at a young age by hauling milk. Eventually, Scott owned and operated his own trucking company, Cook Express. He enjoyed woodworking, deer hunting, and ice racing with quads at the Lucky Thumb Motorcycle Club of Deford. Scott loved maintaining his beautiful yard and his truck. He was completely obsessed with anything and everything regarding Bigfoot.

Scott is survived by his wife, Cindy; his son, Nicholas Cook; his daughter, Dakota Cook; step-son, Frankie Stinson; step-daughter, Courtney Stinson; step-grandchildren: Matthew Stinson, Jonathan Nizzola, Emmie Nizzola; sister, Kathy Cook; several nieces and nephews; his father, Michael Cook; his mother, Elizabeth Eremia; aunt and uncle, Kay and Lee Ackerman; uncles: Jerry Eremia, John Eremia; nieces, Jacci Keeley, Ricci Keeley; his fur babies: Harley and Piper Lou. He was predeceased by his grandparents: Earnest and Zellen Cook; Joe and Betty Eremia; aunt and uncle, Gloria and Butch Cook; uncles: Donald Eremia, David Eremia, Joseph Eremia.

A private family service will be held. Memorials may be made to Scott’s favorite charity; The Danny Thomas Foundation, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
