Theda F. Seeger, 99, of Cass City, died Monday, December 11, 2017 in Tuscola County Medical Care Community, Baldwin House in Caro. She was born April 22, 1918 in Cass City the youngest of three children of Simeon and Bertha (LePla) Bardwell. She married Donald Clark Seeger May 28, 1941 in Cass City. He died October 8, 1970.
Theda worked for Walbro as a Supervisor retiring after 27 years. Theda loved to travel. She visited all 50 states, all provinces in Canada except the most North provinces, Australia, Germany, British Isles, France, Switzerland, Belgium and many other places. She was a former member of Elder Hostel, Fraser Presbyterian Church, Order of the Eastern Star serving twice as Matron, Cass City Business and Professional Women, Hills and Dales Hospital Auxiliary working many years at the blood bank. Theda enjoyed working with her flowers and for many years, quilted at Fraser Presbyterian Church.
Theda is survived by her niece, Doris Peck of Mt. Morris; nephews: Jerry (Lynn) Puroll of Lapeer; Jim Sweet of Lapeer, Fred Brown of Corona, CA; cousin, Sharon (Ed) Fox of Cass City; special friends, Judy and Jim Brown of Cass City; many great, great great and great great great nieces and nephews; many dear friends. She is preceded in death by her brother, Lyle Bardwell and sister, Vera Copland; nephew, Robert Copland; nieces: Susan Copland, Sandra Puroll, and Glenna Brown.
Funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 15, 2017 in Fraser Presbyterian Church with Rev. Linda Graham officiating. Interment will be in Elkland Township Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Fraser Presbyterian Church, Rawson Memorial Library, or Tuscola County Medical Care Community. Pallbearers for Mrs. Seeger: Mark Battel, Jim Brown, Steve Shamka, Gary Jones, James K. Sweet, Ed Fox and Jerry Puroll.
