Sharon Kaye Brandibur

Sharon K. Brandibur, 79, of Kingston, died peacefully Thursday, December 18, 2025 in her home surrounded by loved ones. She was born June 1, 1946 in Cass City to Floyd and Nellie (Hackel) Brief. She married James Brandibur on July 26, 1969 in Kingston. He died September 2, 2022.

Sharon was employed by Kingston Community Schools for thirty-two years, as a secretary and book keeper. She had a true servant’s heart, and along with Jim, they truly loved their years of service to their neighbors and community. Sharon was a member of Kingston Fire and Rescue for sixteen years, did book keeping and reports for Kingston Police Department for twenty-two years, and diligently worked for Kranz Funeral Home, Kingston for twenty-two years. For many years, she performed duties as secretary and treasurer of the Kingston Cemetery Association. Sharon was also a former member of the Kingston Lions Club and a volunteer for Marlette Regional Hospital Extended Care. She enjoyed time spent camping, knitting, baking, and helping others any way she could.

Sharon is survived by her sister-in-law, Beverly Brief; nephews: James (Caroline) Brief, Ron (Mary) Brief, Jerald (Betty) Brief; niece, Sharon (Don) McPhail; great nephew, Jonathan (Chelsey) Brief; great nieces: Elizabeth (Brandt) LaPouttre, Kristina (Ryan Boyd) Brief; special great-great nephews: Connar Brief, Brandt W. LaPouttre, James LaPouttre; great-great nieces: Lola Boyd, Alayna Boyd, many other great and great-great nieces and nephews, relatives, and special friends. She is preceded in death by her husband; brothers: James Brief, Ronald (Doris Ann) Brief; nephew, Roger Brief. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Sandy D’Addezio for her compassion and care during Sharon's last days.

Funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 27, 2025 in Kingston Community Church with Pastor Matt Osborne officiating. Interment in Kingston Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Sharon’s great niece, Elizabeth LaPouttre to be used for various organizations.
