SHARON LEE WENZLAFF
Sharon L. Wenzlaff, 87, of Kingston, passed away on Tuesday, August 18, 2026 in Heritage Hill Assisted Living, Caro. She was born October 16, 1938 in Caro to Fred D. and Ruth (Thompson) Schriber. She married Gerald Powell and they had two children, Sherri and Terry. On November 3, 1984, Sharon married Louis E. Wenzlaff in Las Vegas.
Sharon balanced a successful secretarial career across several industries, lending her talents to Capital Airlines, AAA, Kingston State Bank, and Active Industries Modular Homes. She was a woman of many interests, filling her days with the joys of traveling, gardening, cooking, and collecting antiques. Sharon also loved the energy of dancing, the quiet patience of fishing, and the simple satisfaction of mowing the lawn. Known for her immaculate attention to detail, she took deep pride in maintaining a neat, tidy, and orderly home.
Sharon is survived by her husband of forty one years, Louie of Kingston; children: Sherri R. Powell Beecher and Terry Powell; brothers: Nelson (Theresa) Schriber, Paul (Kathy) Schriber; special nieces, Cindy (John) Litte, MJ Thompson; Louie’s children: Sherri (Rich) Diegel, Greg (Julie) Wenzlaff, Dan (Carol) Wenzlaff; grandchildren: Justin (Sarah) Diegel, Kayla (Adam) Ahlgren, Josh (Nicole) Wenzlaff, Jordan (Megan) Wenzlaff, Trayton Wenzlaff, Chesaney Wenzlaff; great grandchildren: Ryder, Blakely, Emerson, John; sisters-in-law: Barbara Sullivan, Shirley Koehler. She is preceded in death by her parents, brother, Jim Schriber, son-in-law, Doug Beecher, sister-in-law, JoAnn Schriber.
Funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 28, 2026 in Kingston Community Church with Pastor Matt Osborne officiating. Memorials may be made to Kingston Community Church or Heartland Hospice.
