Thomas Donald "Tommy" Shook

THOMAS DONALD SHOOK,
82, of Ubly, died Friday, March 4, 2022 in McLaren Bay Region. He was born July 10, 1939 in Detroit to Herbert and Martha (Malinowski) Shook. He married Shirley Chmielewski on December 31, 1991.

Tommy was an auxiliary police officer for the city of Taylor. Later, he worked for the federal government in different capacities and eventually retired from his job at a post office. Tom’s hobbies included deer hunting and fishing in Caseville and the Harrison area. Together, he and Shirley enjoyed traveling. Memorable locations include trips to Hawaii, Las Vegas, and Texas. Tommy and Shirley delivered Meals on Wheels to seniors in the Owendale, Sebewaing, Unionville, and Bay Port areas for over ten years. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose and the National Rifle Association. Tommy taught CPL instruction courses from his home shooting range.

Thomas is survived by his wife, Shirley; his children: Richard (Cathy) Shook. Ron (Donna) Shook, Robert (Tina) Shook, Susan (David) Standafer, Sharon Fee, Sandy (Tim) Standafer; sixteen grandchildren; seven great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents.
