Florence M. Simmons , 65, of Kingston, died Monday, October 12, 2015 in McLaren Bay Region, Bay City. She was born June 18, 1950 at home in Pontiac to Robert Dewey and Eleanor Lucille (Simons) Bailey. She was married to George Skelton in 1967. She married Bill Simmons in 1975, he preceded her in death on October 8, 2009.
Florence worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse in many nursing homes in Marlette and also while living in Arkansas. Florence enjoyed watching her favorite television game shows and was fond of embroidering. She was active with the Woods and Waters Association. Florence also loved playing cards.
Florence is survived by her son Robert James (Gail) Skelton of Mississippi and her daughter Darlene Marie (Mark) Kyral of Arkansas; grandchildren: Autumn and Wynter Kyral; brothers Robert Howard (Judy) Bailey of Kingston and Tommy David Bailey of Linden; sisters Patricia Johnson, Betty Thies and Debra VanDeusen. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, relatives and many friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bill Simmons and brother, John Roger Bailey.
