PATRICIA ANN SIMPSON,
80, of Kingston, died following a long illness Saturday, December 9, 2017 in McLaren Flint. She was born April 1, 1937 in Saginaw to Delos William and Retta Rebecca (Fisher) Putnam. She married Basil Lee Simpson June 6, 1958 in Kingston.
Pat was a school bus driver for Kingston Community Schools for 42 years. She also enjoyed cleaning and cleaned the Kingston Post Office and many houses in the Kingston area. Pat was a homemaker and loved decorating her home especially at holiday time. She loved to cook and bake. Chicken noodle soup with homemade noodles were a specialty. Pat always went above and beyond as a bus driver and friend. She was a very caring person.
Pat is survived by her husband, Basil; children: Tammy (Morris) Hendrick of Caro, Brian Simpson of Port Huron, Keith Simpson of Kingston; grandchildren: Jason Hendrick, Brianna Simpson, Ryan Simpson, Andrew Simpson, Stephanie Simpson; and great grandchildren; brother, William (Rose) Putnam of Cass City; several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her sister, Marlene Knight.
Graveside service will take place later in Kingston Cemetery, Kingston. Interment will be in Kingston Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Family Discretionary Fund. Family and friends may share memories, prayers and stories with the family at www.kranzfuneralhome.com.
