DALE MARK SORENSON,
63, of Cass City, died Saturday, November 15, 2014 in Greenleaf Township. He was born August 27, 1951 in Cass City the second of four children born to Harold Lester and Lillian Rose (Webster) Sorenson. He married Dorothy "Sue" Guthrie July 27, 1979 in Roseville.
Dale worked as a roofer for area builders including Bob Bliss, Tom Herron and Harold Lowe. He was an avid hunter. Dale enjoyed hunting duck, rabbit, squirrel, turkey, deer and even enjoyed the opportunity to bear hunt in the Upper Peninsula. Dale also enjoyed antiquing, particularly interested in antique guns and lightning rods. He was very handy and could do anything that needed to be done and was willing to help anyone who needed something done. Although he would deny it, Dale loved his cat, Peach, he also loved and fondly remembered his buddy and companion, his German Shorthair Joe. Most important to Dale in the last few years was spending time with his grandchildren. He didn't want a day to go by without seeing or talking to the grandchildren.
Dale is survived by his wife, Susie; children: Scott (Danielle) Sorenson of Sterling Heights, Jordan (Rick) Schank of Cass City, Jason Sorenson of Cass City, Kyle Sorenson of Cass City; grandchildren: Alex, Alessandra, Alyssa, Alexa, Dakota and Austin; sister, Terry Milner of Roseville; brothers: Lynn Sorenson of Cass City; Craig (Carolyn) Sorenson of Cass City; several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Lillian Sorenson.
Funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 20, 2014 in Kranz Funeral Home Cass City with Brad Speirs of Novesta Church of Christ officiating.
