Jane Taylor

Jane L. Taylor, 83, of Caro, died following a short illness Monday, July 4, 2016 in her home surrounded by her family. She was born October 5, 1932 at home in Thetford Township, Genesee County to Floyd Henry and Ruth Ursula (Platt) Lerche. She married George Maurice Taylor December 12, 1952 in South Bend, IN. Jane loved animals. She raised hamsters, keeping several for pets. At different times she also had Collies, Pomeranians, Pekingese, and Pugs. She has a parakeet, Buffy and she recently acquired Banty chicks, Silky chicks, and Guinea chicks. Jane loved to learn. She loved to read, to work on the computer and she loved to work Searchword Puzzles.

Jane is survived by her husband, George; children: Harold Taylor of Rossville, GA, Ruth (David) Hittle of Rossville, GA, Michael Taylor of Otter Lake, Kathleen Taylor of Caro, Leonard Taylor of Rossville, GA, Mary Austin of Tuskegee, AL, Eric Taylor of Caro, Maurice Taylor of Flintstone, GA; grandchildren: Terri, Chris, Adren, Olivia, Tina, Stephan (Shannon), Mary D. (Dave), Colleen, Kendra, Maya, Anneliese; great grandchildren: Gaby (Kris), Lydia, Logan, Liam, Tyler, Aubrey, Marci, Maggie, Jack; many nieces and nephews. Jane's tenth great grandchild is due soon and her first great great grandchild is due soon also. Jane will also be missed by her Pugs: Foxy, Tootie, Bandit and Pepper. She is preceded in death by her grandson, Brandon; infant baby sister, Betty; brother, Henry Lerche; half brother, Edward J. Hawke.

Memorial service held 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 8, 2016 in Kranz Funeral Home, Kingston with Tim Bishop of Unionville Seventh Day Adventist Church officiating. Interment will be in Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Memorials may be made to Family Discretionary Fund.
