SONYA LENORA TELLER,
45, of Cass City, died unexpectedly, Thursday, February 7, 2019. She was born March 6, 1973 in Caro to Isaac “Ike” and Lena (Randall) Teller.
Sonya graduated from Cass City High School with the class of 1991. She received her certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant and worked as a CNA for Huron County Medical Care Facility in Bad Axe. Sonya was kind and giving to a fault. She enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren with slushies. Sonya loved spending time with her family and friends. She also loved going to concerts and having a good time. She loved music very much. Sonya was a great cook and had a very ironic sense of humor. In the past six years, even though Sonya lost herself along the hard, painful road of life, deep down inside was still the loving, caring person she always was.
Sonya is survived by her children: Ashley (Chris Green) Farkas of Cass City, Christian Mellendorf of Cass City, Mariah Mellendorf of Cass City; siblings: Sandi (Steve) Wright of Cass City, Linda Brooks of Gaylord, Teresa Draper of Cass City, Susie (Rob) Hartwick of Holland; step-mother, Marty Teller of Munger, brother, Kristopher “Kris” Teller of Munger; many nieces and nephews; grandchildren: Audrina, Damian, Deklin, Sadee and Jordin. She is preceded in death by her sons: Andrew Teller and Kyle Hodder; grandson, Dominik Green; parents: Lena Teller and Ike Teller.
Funeral service held 7:00 p.m. Monday, February 11, 2019 in Kranz Funeral Home, Cass City with Brad Speirs of Novesta Church of Christ officiating. Memorials may be made to Family Discretionary Fund. Interment will take place in the spring. Family and friends may share memories, prayers and photos with the family at www.kranzfuneralhome.com.
