AMY J. THANE, 60, of Deford, died following an extended illness, Saturday, October 19, 2013 in her home. She was born March 20, 1953 in Rose City to Bernard and Vivian (Campbell) DeLisle. She married Bruce Thane November 13, 1971 in Kingston. He died February 2, 2007.
Amy attended Kingston Public Schools. She enjoyed crocheting, art, sketching and painting. Amy attended the Deford Community Church. She was an avid bible reader as her faith was very important to her. Amy enjoyed spending time with people, especially her grandchildren, family and friends.
Amy is survived by her children: Bruce (Tawnya) Thane of Deford, Nancy (Ryan) Stapleton of Caro; grandchildren: Jessie James (Marie) Thane, Summer Childres, Taylor Childres, Savanah Childres, Alianna Surface, Hannah Surface, Kylah Stapleton; great granddaughter, Sasja Renee Thane; brother, John (Marie) DeLisle of Guliver; sisters: Kathleen Martin of Vassar, Delores DeLisle of Kingston, Vivian (Paul) Hoose of Caro, Patricia (Richard) Randall of Kingston, Dawn Seizemore of Caro; many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Bernard "Bud" DeLisle.
Funeral service held 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 25, 2013 in Kingston Wesleyan Church with Pastor Len Wyatt officiating. Memorials may be made to Family Discretionary Fund.
