HELEN ALICE THOMPSON
, 91, of Sandusky, formerly of Silverwood and Caro, died Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at Sanilac County Medical Care Facility, Sandusky. She was born December 27, 1921 in Caro to Steve and Stella (Telewiak) Kostecke.
Helen graduated from Caro Public Schools and worked for the Railroad as a payroll clerk. She enjoyed following the Detroit Tigers, doing crossword puzzles, writing poetry and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Helen is survived by her children: Philip Thompson of Harbor Beach, Arden "Tommy" (Cynthia) Thompson of Silverwood, and Wylie (Bev) Thompson of San Antonio, Texas; grandchildren: Michael, Steven, Tim, Stacy, and Hope Thompson; several great grandchildren; her brother, Steven (Joan) Kostecke of Tucson, Az; sisters-in-law: LoRaine Kostecke and Nonie Kostecke; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her brothers: Walter, Ray, Boris, and Alex Kostecke.
