CHERI LYNN THORP,
49, of Caro died unexpectedly Saturday, May 16, 2020 in McLaren Caro Region. She was born December 30, 1970 in Bad Axe to Ronald Wallace and Cheryl Ann (Hodder) Apley.
Cheri graduated from Ubly High School and later from Ross Medical College in Lapeer. She worked as a medical assistant for Hills and Dales General Hospital in Cass City until she was no longer able due to multiple sclerosis. Cheri enjoyed crocheting and made many pot holders, dolls and scarves for family and friends. She had an appreciation for water color painting and was quite good at it. Cheri collected everything and anything that had to do with penguins. She loved time spent fishing at the family cabin in Oscoda with her children and grandchildren.
Cheri is survived by her children: Timothy Bosley of Harbor Beach, Aaron Bosley of Owendale, Rochelle (Rob) Schave of Bad Axe; grandchildren: Colin, Deborah, River; her mother, Cheryl Ann Hodder; siblings: Roger Apley of Bay City, Jon (Tammy) Apley of Gagetown, Ronda (Rick) Oswald of Minded City; nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father, Ronald Apley.
Private family funeral service held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 19, 2020 in Kranz Funeral Home, Cass City with Rev. David Boulton of Ellington Church of the Nazarene, Caro officiating. Memorials may be made to the Tuscola County Medical Care Facility. Due to the current health concerns and the executive order, social distancing and its gathering limitations of 10 people will be observed.
