HARLAND LEROY TRISCH,
80, of Cass City died following a long illness Friday, September 23, 2016 in Vada Villa Adult Foster Care Home in Unionville. He was born July 12, 1936 in Ann Arbor to Alfred D. and Florence Rila (Silvernail) Trisch. He married Jean Magel September 1, 1956. She died November 7, 1975. He married Leah Jean Robinson October 2, 1979 in Decker.
When Harland was younger he enjoyed working on cars and was excellent at car body work. He worked for the former Vassar Foundry retiring after many years of service. Harland also loved to farm and owned a small hobby farm raising cattle and crops. Raising and selling coon dogs was Harland's passion. He won many trophies for his dogs over the years. He was very proud of his dogs. Harland was a member of the Water Wonderland Coon Hunt Association.
Harland is survived by his wife, Leah; sons: Richard (Gloria) Trisch of Vila Velha, ES, Brazil, Ronald Trisch of KY; grandson, Justin Snyder; sister, Loretta (William) Hacker of Cass City; brother, Alfred Leon Trisch of Caro; sister-in-law, Theresa Trisch of Caro; special niece, LaWanda Adamczyk of Kingston; many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his brothers: Lyle Curry, Robert Trisch; sister, Luella Clink; sister-in-law, Juanita Trisch.
Graveside service held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at Ellington Township Cemetery, Caro with Rev. Len Wyatt of Kingston Wesleyan Church officiating. Interment will take place at Ellington Township Cemetery, Caro. Memorials may be made to Family Discretionary Fund.
