Lyle Truemner

August 9, 1933 — November 10, 2002

Lyle N. Truemner, 69, of Cass City, died Sunday, November 10, 2002 in Hills & Dales General Hospital, Cass City after a long illness of cancer. He was born August 9, 1933 in Kilmanagh to Ezra and Ethel (Geiger) Truemner. He married Eleanor Good on September 4, 1954 in Owendale.

Lyle was a lifetime resident of Cass City, where he farmed and worked for the Walbro Corporation until his retirement in 1992. He enjoyed antique tractors, golf cart repair, auto racing, and tractor pulling. He was a Charter Member of the Thumb Two Cylinder Club, and an active member of Cass City United Methodist Church. He was also very active with the Thumb Area Octagon Barn Association. He was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge #1049 of Caro and the Fraternal Order of Eagles #4484 of Caro.
Lyle is survived by his wife, Eleanor; children: Dana (Sharon and Josh Swalwell) Truemner of Cass City, Colleen (Kevin) Albosta of Saginaw, Michael (Rhonda) Truemner of Owosso, OK, Janel and (Kenneth) Guilds of Gagetown; grandchildren: Gary (Susan), Laura Jane and Keith Truemner, Michael and Jonathan Albosta, Alexandria and Brandon Truemner, Kendra Guilds; great grandchildren: Morgan Parrish and Victoria Truemner. He is preceded in death by his son, Wendall Scott.

Funeral services held 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 13, 2002 at Cass City United Methodist Church with Rev. George Ward of Cass City United Methodist Church officiating. Interment is in Elkland Township Cemetery, Cass City. Memorials may be made to Cass City United Methodist Church building fund.

Visitation: 7 to 9 p.m., Monday
2 to 5 & 6 to 9 p.m., Tuesday
