WANDA JUNE TUCKEY,
88, of Cass City, died Monday, October 10, 2016 in her home, following a short illness. She was born March 25, 1928 at home in Usborne Township, Exeter, Ontario to Oscar Dwight and Anna Mary (Moir) Tuckey. She married James "Jim" Tuckey August 23, 1947 in Exeter, Ontario. He died December 10, 2014.
Wanda's caregiving nature led her to study nursing after high school and before her marriage. She was a longtime member of Cass City Missionary Church serving as Sunday School Teacher for many years. She enjoyed knitting, quilting and gardening. Wanda worked as a Nurses Aide at Tendercare for 11 years.
Wanda is survived by her children: Judy (Doug) Hall of Cass City, Jim (Shirley) Tuckey of Cass City, Scott (Rose) Tuckey of Caseville, Jeff (Jan) Tuckey of Cass City, Debbie (Keith) Hake of Phoenix, AZ, Philip (Marci) Tuckey of Vienna, Austria, Kathy (Dave) Collins of Scottsdale, AZ; 21 grandchildren: 3 step-grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 4 step great grandchildren, 2 step great great grandchildren. Wanda will also be missed by her brothers: Bill Tuckey of Exeter, Ontario, Wayne (Marj) Tuckey of Exeter, Ontario,; sisters: Pat Love of Zurich, Ontario and Barb Fahner of Zurich, Ontario; many nieces and nephews. Wanda is preceded in death by her parents, Jim's parents Clair and Florence Tuckey, sister-in-law, Charmaine Tuckey; brothers-in-law: Keith Love and Wayne Fahner.
Funeral service held 3:00 p.m. Sunday, October 16, 2016 in Cass City Missionary Church with Pastor Phil Burkett officiating. Interment will be in Elkland Township Cemetery. Pallbearers for Mrs. Tuckey: Brent Hall, Jamie Tuckey, Bart Hall, Blake Hall, Thomas Kostanko and Ethan Hall. Memorials may be made to Cass City Missionary Church.
