ROBERT LEE WARFORD JR.,
75, of Ubly, died unexpectedly Wednesday, January 28, 2015 in his home. He was born September 17, 1939 in Birmingham the second of six children born to Robert Lee and Genevieve (Wummel) Warford, Sr. He married Barbara Kay Yax September 23, 1987 in Sandusky. She died February 6, 2012.
Robert's family moved to the Vassar area when he was a young boy. He worked various construction jobs as a builder and handyman mostly in the Tuscola County area. Robert traveled extensively throughout his life visiting every state in the Union and three foreign countries. He enjoyed working in his gardens, watching golf on television, playing cards and tinkering in the garage. Robert enjoyed people and friendly conversation. He was a great story teller.
Robert is survived by his children: Roger Warford of Cass City, Brenda (Chris) Stomack of Ubly, Robert Warford of Ubly, Bonelle (Steve) Irvine of Ubly, Ron Brady of Cass City, Bridget (Walt) Widdis of Laurel, MT, Tammy (Dave Kilbourn) VanConant of Croswell, James (Giney) Miller of Marlette; grandchildren: McKenzie, Addison, Rebecka, Karasten, Brady, Damion, Jonathan, Robert Jr., Amanda, Gwendolyn, Rodney, Ronald, Kimberly, Kayla, Ross, Kristen, Randy, Cody, Joshua, McKaya, Brett, Taylor, Brianna, David, Liam, Sadie, and Riley; and several great grandchildren. He will also be missed by his sister, Valerie (Herbert) Yax of Deford; and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his children: Ross Brady, Robert Brady and Tonya Miller; brothers: John Warford, Richard Warford, and Frank Warford; and sister, Shirleen Holdburg.
Funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 31, 2015 in Kranz Funeral Home, Cass City with Rev. David Hill of Cass City First Baptist Church officiating.
