Loretta Williamson (Stiltner)

LORETTA WILLIAMSON,
82, of Capac, died following a lengthy illness Monday, May 31, 2021 in McLaren Port Huron Hospital, Port Huron. She was born July 4, 1938 in Grundy, VA to George and Elizabeth (Church) Stiltner. She married Franklin Williamson on August 31, 1953. He died April 23, 1988.

Loretta and Franklin raised their children in Grundy, VA before moving to Warren. Following fifteen years in the Warren area, she moved her family to Capac and lived there for over fifty years. Loretta was a homemaker but also worked as a caregiver. She enjoyed gardening, tending to her flowers and vegetables. Loretta was a master gardener and florist, operating her own flower shop for a time. She was a devout Christian of the Baptist faith and always put her love of family before everything else.

Loretta is survived by her children: William (Michele) Williamson of Capac; Jim (Sue) Williamson of Almont; Randy Williamson of Capac; Elizabeth Williamson of Tazewell, VA; Jeffrey (Lori) Williamson of East China Township; twelve grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, one great-great grandson; brother, Charles Stiltner of Tazewell, VA; sister, Chris Nichols of Hazel Park. She is preceded in death by two brothers and five sisters.

Funeral service held in Grundy Funeral Home of Southwest Virginia. Interment will be in the Stiltner Family Cemetery in Grundy, VA. Family and friends may share memories, prayers, and photos with the family at www.kranzfuneralhome.com.
