ALFRED THOMAS WRIGHT,
78, of Cass City died unexpectedly following a short illness Thursday, September 28, 2017 in St. Mary’s Medical Center, Saginaw. He was born February 25, 1939 in Cookeville, TN to Robert and Sadie (Bowman) Wright.

Alfred owned and operated Wright’s Painting in Cass City since 1970. He also owned mini storage sites in the area. Alfred was a member of the Painter’s Union in Detroit. He was a member of the Cass City Gun Club, a member of the Cass City Church of Christ, and a former member of the Cass City Lions Club. Alfred enjoyed hunting, especially deer, duck, goose and turkey. He looked forward to his trips back home to Tennessee. His greatest prides in life were his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Alfred is survived by his children: Tina Wright Wismer of Cass City, Penny Jo Wright Hagen of Cass City, Janie (Steve) Meeker of Cass City, Tammie (Matt) Schmidt of Buffalo, MN; grandchildren: Morgan (Cameron Lautner) Fisher , Samuel Patnaude, Keegan Hagen, Jacob Wismer, Sayge Halle, Rhett Meeker, Copeyn Eli, Aloeh Landry Schmidt, Navey Curtis Schmidt, Jessica Meeker, Scott (Alicia Champine) Meeker, Sara Meeker; great grandchildren: Harlow, Remington and Hunter; friend and former wife, Ann Wright; siblings: Glynn (Ruthie) Wright of Cass City, Roberta Turner of Cass City, Otis (Lynn) Wright of Decker, Steve (Sandi) Wright of Cass City; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Roy and Linda Fay Ragland of Algonac; aunt, Dorothy Mason of Cookeville, TN; several nieces and nephews and lifelong friend, Don (Brenda) Meredith of Tennessee. He is preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Bobby Dale Hunter.

Memorial service held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 5, 2017 in Kranz Funeral Home, Cass City with Pastor Glynn Wright officiating. Memorials may be made to Cass City Church of Christ or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Family and friends may share memories, prayers and stories with the family at www.kranzfuneralhome.com.
