ELIZABETH ZAJAC
Elizabeth Zajac, 94, of Kingston, died Friday, May 11, 2018 in Medilodge Nursing Facility of Cass City. She was born on June 3, 1923 the fourth of ten children born to Steven and Julia (Takarics) Laszlo. She married Walter Joseph Zajac on December 27, 1941 in Detroit, Michigan. He died January 20, 2000.
Elizabeth was a hardworking, supportive, dairy farmer’s wife for nearly 40 years working side by side with Walter. After retirement from dairy farming she worked at the Colony House for several years. Elizabeth enjoyed bowling and reading, particularly mysteries. She diligently wrote in her daily diary for forty years. Elizabeth found great peace working in her flower and vegetable gardens.
Elizabeth is survived by her sons: Walter E. Zajac of Kingston, Edwin Zajac of Mobile, AL; daughter Alice Zajac of Kingston; son-in-law, Clifford Putnam of Reese; grandchildren: Jeff (Kristy) Zajac, Matthew Zajac, Todd Putnam, Troy (Elizabeth) Putnam, Traci (Shane) Jones and Kelly Zajac; great grandchildren: Logan, Tyler, Nicole, Christopher, Ryan, Olyvia Vanessa, Samantha, Bradley, Brian, Lucas, Jane and Christopher; brother, Mike (Donna) Laszlo of Prescott; sisters-in-law: Janet Laszlo of Deford and Sophie Bialkowski of Dearborn; many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Ann Putnam; brothers: Steve Lasko, Frank Laszlo, Andy Laszlo, John Laszlo; sisters: Mary Gyomory, Julie Vinci, Helen Laszlo, Rose Guinther; daughter-in-law, Hilda Zajac; sisters-in-law: Frances Kotora and Jennie Osentoski; brother-in-law, Edward Zajac.
Funeral service held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 15, 2018 in Kranz Funeral Home Kingston with Richard Zyrowski officiating. Interment will be in Kingston Cemetery.
